Blencathra – 14km Walk and Tarn Swim Guide

This is a full day walk or run up to the summit of Blencathra, offering excellent views and the chance to swim in Scales Tarn, the lake below the summit. I used the Ordnance Survey Map 0L5 (The English Lakes, North Eastern Area), and its best to take that map; I think it might be frustrating to try to find your way without it. Troutbeck CCC Campsite, Cumbria, England

We stayed at the Camping and Caravanning Club’s Troutbeck Campsite for 7 nights whilst we took part in the Staveley 17km run on May 26th, and enjoyed walking in the surrounding hills.
